Ice crystal growth. Time-lapse microscope footage of dendritic ice crystals growing at sub zero temperatures. At this temperature, moisture from the surrounding atmosphere condenses almost immediately. The dendritic (tree-like) form of the crystallisation is a natural fractal pattern. The footage is approximately 40x normal speed.
