Lewis's Monkey Flower (Mimulus lewisii) in the Sawtooth Mountains, Idaho. The species was named for Meriwether Lewis of the famous Lewis and Clark expedition. It occurs commonly along mountain streams from southeastern Alaska to Alberta and south to California, Utah and Colorado.
