Rainbow

Description: Rainbow. Arc of a rainbow seen against a dark background of storm clouds. A rainbow consists of concentric bands of light in the colors of the spectrum. This phenomenon occurs when the Sun is located behind the observer and the sky is filled with raindrops. The separation of colors of light is caused by the reflection and refraction of the Sun's rays in the water drops. The larger the drops the brighter are the colors.
