Pyoderma
Description:
Pyoderma on a patient's abdomen. Pyoderma is any skin disease that results in the formation of pus, which is the light coloured substance oozing from the broken skin. The cause is usually unknown, but the pus forms due to a bacterial infection. Pus is a mixture of liquid body debris and bacteria. The treatment will be antibiotic drugs and an attempt to discover the underlying cause of the disorder. Photographed in Africa.
