Objects and Liquids of Different Densities
Description:
Objects and liquids of different density. The glass contains two liquids, canola oil (top) and sugar water (bottom). The glass also contains a rock, a LEGO brick (ABS plastic), and a cork. The rock sinks to the bottom because it is more dense than both the canola oil and the sugar water; the LEGO is suspended in the middle because it is more dense than the canola oil but less dense than the sugar water; and the cork floats, being less dense than both the oil and the sugar water.
