Description:
Leaf-mimic bush-cricket. Anomatoptera maculifolia bush-cricket (order Tettigoniidae). The wings of this insect closely resemble dead leaves, helping it to camouflage itself in the rainforest where it lives. This specimen was found in Amazonian Ecuador, and has a wingspan of 10cm.
