Ladybird beetle (Coccinella septempunctata) feeding on aphids. Ladybirds belong to the order known as Coleoptera in which more than 290,000 species are classified. Coccinella septempunctata is about 7mm long, has very short antennae, and despite its short legs is a very good runner. It is a zealous and voracious aphid hunter. Magnification is x3 at 35mm.
