Free Food Cabinet, Coronavirus Pandemic
Description:
Little free library converted to a free food exchange site during the 2019-20 coronavirus pandemic. This site was erected by two church ministers. The coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 was first identified in December 2019. It causes Covid-19, a respiratory infection that can lead to fatal pneumonia. As of March 2020, over 200,000 have been infected worldwide with thousands of deaths. Social restrictions and infection control measures have been put in place to slow the spread of the virus. Photographed on March 21, 2020, in Detroit, Michigan.
