Description: Flight simulator. Pilots training in a flight simulator for a Fokker F-100 plane. The cockpit layout of each type of aircraft is different, so pilots need to train in specific simulators. The captain's chair is at left, the first officer sits in the chair at right. The main controls are the flight yoke (controlled with the hands), the foot pedals, and the engine control levers (blue, lower centre). Numerous dials monitor the aircraft speed and position and other data. Emergency checklists are available above the pilots heads. The pilots communicate with air traffic control through their headsets. The Fokker F-100 is a small twin-engined jet airliner that carries around 100 passengers.
