WPA Federal Theatre presents: The Case of Philip Lawrence. A new play based on George McEntee's, 11 PM. The Negro Theatre Unit was part of the Federal Theatre Project (1935-39) and had units that were set up in cities throughout the United States. The Lafayette Theatre and the Negro Youth Theater in NYC were dedicated to the Harlem community with the intention of developing unknown theatre artists. Poster by Richard Halls, 1937 (cropped and cleaned).
