Epidural Lipomatosis, MRI
Description:
This axial (cross sectional), T1 weighted MRI image demonstrates a severe degree of epidural lipomatosis within the lumbar spinal canal. It is seen as the homogenously white tissue in the back of the spinal canal. This is causing significant compression of the thecal sac containing the nerve roots of the cauda equina and causing symptoms of spinal stenosis and radiculopathy.
