Why did you change your name from Photo Researchers to Science Source?
The re-branding of Photo Researchers to Science Source will more effectively and accurately identify our position as a top science image provider, and enable us to strengthen our visual content, customer service, and business alliances. While our library still comprises a wide variety of subject matter, the majority of our sales are in the areas of Natural, Physical and Life Sciences.

Does the new name mean that ownership of the company changed hands?
No, there has been no change in ownership.

What is the relationship between Science Source and Science Photo Library?
Science Photo Library (SPL), a UK-based agency, has been affiliated with us for nearly 30 years. We sell their images in the US, and they sell ours in the UK.

If paying for an image with a check, to whom should it be payable?
You may make your checks payable to either Photo Researchers or Science Source.

I recently licensed an image from Photo Researchers, Inc. Will the license need to be revised or updated to reflect your new name?
No. Photo Researchers is legally the parent company of Science Source, so any legal document using the name, " Photo Researchers," is still valid.
